Our Diploma in Sound Engineering is designed to give you the real world skills and confidence to springboard you towards a rewarding career working with sound. You will have access to a world class acoustic environment and high end industry standard equipment used by the likes of famed Capitol Studios, LA and Metropolis, Abbey Road in London.
The Diploma will develop you as a rounded professional with technical skills, knowledge and expertise. You’ll be guided with a creative and informed approach to audio engineering and a deep understanding of the music business and how it operates.

The Diploma in Sound Engineering is an intensive one year programme. We will cover theoretical content alongside practical and technical skills so you develop a a rounded knowledge and skill set within each area.
The breadth of the course means that alongside learning what equipment, techniques and microphones to use you also learn why you use them. This will help you develop your own expertise and understanding of how to create different sounds and effects.

The skills, knowledge and creativity you’ll develop at Open Road Audio Institute will prepare you for the next step in your career in music production. This may be starting out in runner and assistant roles or moving into a more senior role if you already have some experience in the industry.
